When a voice application needs a custom server, the server must be started (loaded into memory) before the application can access it. The server can be started automatically every time the system starts, or you can start it manually as necessary. (Starting a custom server describes how to start custom servers.)
Once a server is in memory, Blueworx Voice Response tracks the status of the server and displays the status information in the Custom Server Manager window. You can use this information to monitor custom server operations. See Monitoring custom servers for details.
If you have installed a custom server on one SSI node, the Custom Server Manager window in the remaining nodes is refreshed. The refresh rate is determined by the SSI Custom Server Status Check Interval system parameter.
