Migrating from a previous release

Describes how to install Blueworx Voice Response when migrating from a previous release

Before starting an in-place migration ensure that you first make a backup of your system data. The different methods for doing this are described in Options for backing-up data prior to in-place migration and the procedure for how to do it using saveDT is described in Backing-up your data using saveDT

Before starting migration ensure that Blueworx Voice Response is not running.

If you are performing an in-place migration to Blueworx Voice Response you should proceed in this order
- If you have not already done so then look at Preparation
- Software prerequisites.
- Prerequisites.
- Starting the migration process.
- Upgrading DB2.
- Upgrading to Blueworx Voice Response Version 7.
- Installing PTFs for Blueworx Voice Response.
- Setting up the AIX account (standalone system only).
- Restarting AIX.
- Completing the migration process.
- Post Software installation.
If you are migrating to Blueworx Voice Response on new hardware, you should proceed in this order
- If you have not already done so then look at Preparation.

- Prerequisites.
- Starting the migration process.
- Installing DB2 for the first time.
- Installing Blueworx Voice Response Version 7 for the first time.
- Installing PTFs for Blueworx Voice Response.
- Setting up the AIX account (standalone system only).
- Restarting AIX.
- Completing the migration process.
- Post Software installation.
