Each 3270 server uses one or more 3270 terminal sessions. Because terminal sessions are a finite resource, they should be monitored.
You can check on the status of all sessions at a glance. If a server needs extra sessions, you can use the 3270 Session Manager window to locate and dynamically reconfigure any currently idle session to support the server.
You can also monitor the activity of an individual session. To monitor an individual session, you peek into it. Peeking into a session allows you to see what information is passing between Blueworx Voice Response and the 3270 host. You can also see the sequence in which the server is manipulating screens and which fields the server is using on each screen.
Peeking into a session can help you diagnose the problem when a server is stalled and therefore not releasing a session. Peeking into the stalled session can reveal what screen is causing the problem.
