BVR includes support for both VoiceXML and CCXML (Call Control XML).
A VoiceXML application is used to control the dialog with the caller, audio prompting, DTMF and voice input etc. Call transfer via SIP REFER is also supported directly from VoiceXML.
Optionally, a CCXML application can sit in front of the caller dialog and can be used to control the call flow, for example:
- Creating outbound calls and performing call progress analysis
- Performing bridged call transfer in situations where a SIP REFER is not supported
- Controlling multiple VoiceXML dialogs
- Controlling IBM Voice Gateway dialogs
