Use this procedure to export segments from a selected voice directory
to a file in the AIX file system.
- From the Welcome window, click on Applications —>
Voice Segments, to display the Voice Segments window.
- Select voice segment to be exported: Select the language
and voice directory that contain the voice segments you want to export.
- Open the segment to be
exported.
The system displays the Voice Segment window for the
selected voice segment.
- On the Voice Segment window, click Utilities —>
Export.
The system displays the Import/Export File
Selection window.
- Export the voice segment: In the Import/Export File Selection
window:
- Type the pathname that identifies the file into which to export
the voice segment in the Selection field,
or use the file search display to find the file and select the file
name. File search display is described in the Blueworx Voice Response for AIX:
Designing and Managing State Table Applications information.
- Specify the Data Format, Sampling
Rate, and Sample Width that
describe the required format of the exported data.
- For data in PCM format:
- If the data is in Little Endian format, click the button next
to Little Endian PCM.
- If the data format is signed PCM, click the button next to Signed
PCM.
- Click OK.
The voice segment is converted and saved to disk in the specified
format. Note that exported voice segments are always uncompressed
regardless of how the segment is stored in the database.
- Close the Voice Segment window.
