Getting started with Batch Voice Import

BVI is supplied as a Blueworx Voice Response import file. Use this procedure to install it:

  1. BVI custom server directory: The batch voice import custom server can be found in /usr/lpp/dirTalk/sw/samples.
  2. Import the custom server: Use the Blueworx Voice Response Import/Export facility to import the file.
  3. Make backup of bvi.control: Save the supplied bvi.control file in the BVI custom server directory.

You should make a backup version of bvi.control before doing any modifications. For example, type the following command at the command prompt, in the batch voice import custom server directory, $CUR_DIR/ca/BVI_dir, and pressing Enter:

    cp bvi.control bvi.control.backup
  4. Customize parameters in bvi.control: Make any changes you need to the operating parameters by editing the bvi.control file and changing the values. For more information, see The Batch Voice Import control file (bvi.control).

You can now start the BVI custom server, as described in Starting the BVI custom server.
