SIP support of Message Waiting Indicator (MWI)

Blueworx Voice Response for AIX provides support for sending a blind Notify message for controlling a Message Waiting Indicator. Blind Notify means that a SIP Notify message can be sent without the need for a Subscribe method.

To use this method of controlling a Message Waiting Indicator:
  1. From the Welcome window, select Configuration —> System Configuration —> Change.
  2. Click Exchange Data Link.
  3. Set the MWI Automatically Set to Yes.
  4. Close the Exchange Data Link window to save your changes.
Note: Only numeric mail box IDs are supported and therefore Blueworx Voice Response must be configured to use a proxy so that the Notify message can be correctly routed over a network.
