All the results of a state should be connected to another state. To connect one or more results, select the result (or results) then move the cursor to the action you want to connect to and click it. When you are over an action the cursor changes shape to a small rectangle with a line in it. DirectTalk draws a connecting line.
You can hide connecting lines by clicking View --> Hide Connecting Lines.
A stub is a kind of marker representing a connection to a state not currently visible on the canvas. If you can't see the whole of your state table on the screen at once, you will need to scroll to see parts of it. Using stubs reduces line clutter so that you can more easily see the logic of your state table without scrolling and trying to follow the connections by eye. For more information on how to use stubs and the auto-stubbing utility, see the Blueworx Voice Response for AIX: User Interface Guide information.
