When creating a new set of voice segments, the following disk storage is
required:
- Space in the Blueworx Voice Response voice segment database for the segments. This requires
8000 bytes per second (480 KB per minute) uncompressed or 1600 bytes per second
(100 KB per minute) compressed.
When using the batch voice import process, you also need:
- Space for the voice file. This file requires 16 000 bytes per second of
recorded audio (around 1 Megabyte per minute).
- Space for the index and description files, a maximum of 80 bytes per segment
to be processed.
Before starting to record or import voice segments, use the df . command
to determine how much free space is available in the file system and do a
rough calculation to make sure that you do not run out of disk space.
