Application name

The application name was introduced in Defining the application. It is the key to:

• Identifying the VoiceXML document or Java class to the voice response node.
• Including the VoiceXML document or Java class in a group for automatic startup.
• Associating the VoiceXML document or Java class with the phone number in the number-to-application mapping.

If you are running the application from Rational Application Developer, the application name is specified within the application itself. For more information, see Developing Java applications.

If you are running the application in a node, the application name is specified in the AppName configuration entry.
