About defining prompts

Prompts are constructed using the prompt statements described in the Blueworx Voice Response for AIX: Application Development using State Tables. A prompt statement can use any of the following elements to define what a caller will hear:

• Voice segments (stored in voice directories or voice tables)
• Greetings
• Audio names
• Other prompts
• Parameters passed from the calling state table
• System variables or local variables
• Conditional tests that determine what should happen in different cases
