The specifications for both VXML and CCXML define some protocol-independent connection-related variables that can be used to return related connection data. Blueworx Voice Response for AIX Version 6.1 now supports such session variables for the SIP, ISDN and SS7 protocols.
Previously, the Blueworx Voice Response CCXML browser had some access to protocol-delivered information though transition event variables called $event.info.FROM_HDR and $event.info.TO_HDR which provided signalling information based on the contents of SV542 and SV541. All call header information was listed within the variables as a series of key-value pairs (KVPs). The VXML browser had no direct access to these values.
