The Blueworx Voice Response system manager monitors and controls the state of the Blueworx Voice Response system. The system manager is accessed using the System Monitor window, which is described in more detail in the Blueworx Voice Response for AIX: Managing and Monitoring the System information. Using this window, you can monitor the state of trunks and channels. In response to requests from the System Monitor window, the system manager brings trunks and channels into and out of service. When dealing with a trunk using channel associated signaling, the system manager uses the digital trunk device driver directly. When dealing with a trunk using exchange data link or common channel signaling, the system manager sends requests to the signaling process to perform the system management functions. The signaling process must respond to these requests to allow the correct operation of the system.
