A signaling process controls signaling for an exchange data link or common channel signaling protocol. The signaling process receives requests from Blueworx Voice Response across the signaling interface, and is responsible for the network signaling required to process these requests. Similarly the signaling process receives signaling from the network, and is responsible for managing this and passing any required information to Blueworx Voice Response across the signaling interface. As well as signaling from the network, the signaling process is also responsible for processing system management requests from Blueworx Voice Response.
The signaling process is implemented as a custom server (a C language program). See Installing a signaling process for details about creating and installing a custom server.
