Signaling interface primitives

This section lists the signaling interface primitives in alphabetical order. For an introduction to primitives, see Signaling interface primitives. For information about the data structures used to store the primitives, see Primitive data types and data structures.

The following headings are used to describe each primitive:

Purpose
Identifies the purpose of sending the primitive.
Requirement
Identifies whether support for the primitive is mandatory for all signaling processes, or only for exchange data link or common channel signaling processes, or whether it is optional for all signaling processes.
Library
The signaling interface library (libsl.a).
C syntax
Gives an example of the syntax of the typedefs required for the primitive. Boldface indicates names of subroutines, primitives, and types, reserved words of the C language, and elements of enumerations. Italics indicates names of fields in the primitives.
Description
Provides a description of how to use the primitive.
Corresponding state table action
Identifies the state table action, if any, corresponding to the primitive.
Corresponding user interface action
Shows the action corresponding in the Blueworx Voice Response System Monitor window. See the section on day-to-day operations in the Blueworx Voice Response for AIX: Configuring the System information.
Parameters
Lists the primitive parameters and describes how each is used.
Related information
Identifies related data structures, subroutines, and other primitives.
