By this stage, you should know how many SS7 Servers and SS7 Clients you
are going to use in your SS7 system. Below is a list of questions you can
ask yourself to check that you have covered everything you are likely to need:
- How many SS7 Servers am I using in my configuration?
- How many SS7 adapters am I using?
- Do I have a license key file for each machine, and do they match the machine
numbers?
- How many Blueworx Voice Response clients am I using in my configuration?
- How many trunks and channels are there on each Blueworx Voice Response
machine?
- Am I using single or dual LAN?
- What is the OPC?
- What is the DPC?
- What CICs /trunks are to be assigned to which Blueworx Voice Response
client?
- Has my switch been configured for T1 SS7 or E1 SS7?
- Does ISUP support my switch and network?
- How much redundancy am I using, and where in the system?
- How many SS7 Links are required?
If you can answer all the above questions, go to the next section, and
focus on identifying and collecting the relevant information. This will reduce
the likelihood of problems when performing the installation and configuration.
