To extend the functionality of Blueworx Voice Response for AIX, you
can add the following optional hardware to a pSeries computer:
- Brooktrout fax card
- Enables you to develop Blueworx Voice Response applications
that can send and receive faxes on up to 30 telephony channels. Blueworx Voice Response for AIX supports
a single Brooktrout TR1034 fax card installed in a PCI-based pSeries computer with
a DTTA adapter also installed. Refer to the Blueworx Voice Response for AIX:
Fax using Brooktrout information for more information.
- SS8 Networks Inc SS7 hardware adapter
- Enables your applications to take advantage of the features of
telephony networks using the SS7 Common Channel Signaling (CCS) protocol.
The software required for SS7 support is provided by a separately
orderable IBM PRPQ (7J0465), which contains the Distributed7 software
for both SS7 Server and Blueworx Voice Response client machines. See Signaling System 7.
