Accessing other resources
- The openness of the Blueworx Voice Response platform
allows the system to access other
resources such as speech recognition, text-to-speech, fax, telecommunications
devices for the deaf, background music, call tromboning, and ADSI
phones.
- Speech recognition capability allows users to enter
data and make choices
by speaking rather than by pressing keys.
- Text-to-speech
capability is particularly useful if information changes
too rapidly or the amount of information is too large to prerecord.
- Speech recognition and text-to-speech can be provided by IBM WebSphere
Voice Server or other speech technology products.
