If you have not already done so, using the Blueworx-supplied documentation,
carry out the following:
- Install Brooktrout fax, see Installing the Brooktrout Fax Software, and ensure that it is operating
correctly.
- Import and install FaxSample.imp from the /usr/lpp/dirTalk/sw/fax directory using the Blueworx Voice Response import utility.
- After the installation is complete, start the BrooktroutFax and FaxSample
custom servers.
Next, follow these steps to modify the fax sample application:
- Login as dtuser. Determine the name of the Brooktrout fax reception
directory. Use the BFIT script supplied with Blueworx Voice Response to do this. At the AIX command
line, type bfit. This will show you the configuration parameter
settings for Brooktrout fax, the first of which is Fax Reception Directory. Note
this value and click Cancel (if you are using the GUI version) or
press F10 (if you are using the plain-text version) to quit BFIT.
- Create a new file called faxpath in the FaxSample custom server
directory by using your preferred editor, or as follows:
cd $DB/current_dir/ca/FaxSample_dir
echo (enter the Fax Reception Directory here) > faxpath
- Create a new directory called faxsave in the directory indicated
in faxpath as follows:
cd (enter the Fax Reception Directory here)
mkdir faxsave
- Set up your Blueworx Voice Response application profile to access the FaxSample state table,
and select the telephone number(s) which will access these profiles.
