VM Requirements

BVR

The VM running BVR must meet the following criteria:

Table 1. BVR System Requirements
Requirement Details
Processor Intel 64-bit (x86_64)

4 core 2.7GHz

Operating System Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS version 7 at minor version 3 or above:

Kernel level: 3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64 (or higher patch level)

Note: The kernel version level, major revision and minor revision must match (e.g. 3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64). Installing BVR on a system with a kernel patch level (e.g. 3.10.0-514.el7.x86_64) lower than the one stated above is not recommended, and may cause BVR to fail to start or operate properly.

The kernel patch level can be higher than the stated levels.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS version 8.1

Amazon Linux 2

Rocky Linux 9

Memory 8GB
Storage The BVR installation uses approximately 150MB of disk space, however there are other factors to consider such as the size allowed for caching and tracing (which are configurable).

With default configuration options, the BVR will require a minimum of 1.3GB available in /opt.

Note: Values stated above for processor clock speed, memory and storage requirements are based on a 500 channel BVR system.

BRM

The VM running BRM must meet the following criteria:

Table 2. BRM System Requirements
Requirement Details
Processor Intel 64-bit (x86_64)

4 core 2.7GHz

Operating System Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS version 7.3 or higher

Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS version 8.1

Amazon Linux 2

Rocky Linux 9

Memory 4GB
Storage The BRM installation uses approximately 140MB of disk space, however there are other factors to consider such as the size allowed for tracing (which is configurable) and the size required for redundancy data.

With default configuration options, the BRM will require a minimum of 1.1GB available in /opt.

BAM

The VM running BAM must meet the following criteria:

Table 3. BAM System Requirements
Requirement Details
Processor Intel 64-bit (x86_64)

4 core 2.7GHz

Operating System Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS version 7.3 or higher

Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS version 8.1

Amazon Linux 2

Rocky Linux 9

Memory 4GB
Storage The BAM installation uses approximately 140MB of disk space, however there are other factors to consider such as the size allowed for tracing (which is configurable) and the size required for redundancy data.

With default configuration options, the BAM will require a minimum of 1GB available in /opt.

BSM

The VM running BSM must meet the following criteria:

Table 4. BSM System Requirements
Requirement Details
Processor Intel 64-bit (x86_64)

4 core 2.7GHz

Operating System Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS version 7.3 or higher

Red Hat Enterprise Linux / CentOS version 8.1

Amazon Linux 2

Rocky Linux 9

Memory 4GB
Storage The BSM installation uses approximately 140MB of disk space, however there are other factors to consider such as the size allowed for tracing (which is configurable) and the size required for redundancy data.

With default configuration options, the BSM will require a minimum of 1GB available in /opt.

Configuration Profile Database Storage Requirements

Ensure there is at least 300MB of disk space available in /var for the CPD. Please refer to the PostgreSQL documentation for the system requirements for PostgreSQL server version that you are planning to use.
