Starting and stopping custom servers

When a voice application includes a custom server, the application cannot run correctly until you start the server. When you start a custom server, Blueworx Voice Response loads the server into memory, making it available to a voice application.

Before you try to start a custom server, make sure it has been built and installed. The Custom Servers reference manual includes instructions for building and installing custom servers.

Once you start a server, it remains in memory until you stop the server or until you stop Blueworx Voice Response. If certain servers should be started automatically whenever Blueworx Voice Response starts, you can identify them as requiring automatic restart. That way, you do not have to restart them manually whenever you restart Blueworx Voice Response.
