Viewing an alarm definition

To view details of an alarm definition, use the DTalarm command with the -t flag followed by the message identifier. The output shows the destination, the severity and the number, names, and types of the parameters. The message severities are described in Meaning of the alarm colors. The destinations are specified as follows:

Log
Whether the message is logged in the errorlog (almost always yes).
Console
Whether you can view the message using the System Monitor or ASCII Console.
Alert
Whether an alert is sent to SNMP or the AIX errorlog.

Optionally, you can use the -x flag to include the explanation and the user response.

DTalarm [-x] -t message_id
