Backing up voice application objects

How often you back up voice application objects and application-related data depends on the nature of your business. If you are developing many voice applications and changing them often, you may want to back up application objects and data daily. Otherwise, once a week may be enough, or even once a month.

To make a backup of state table application objects without shutting down Blueworx Voice Response, you need to export them, either from the Blueworx Voice Response Applications window or from the command line (dtexport). You can export a complete package containing all the necessary application objects and files. If an application has been exported, it will not import correctly to an earlier version of Blueworx Voice Response. The Designing and Managing State Table Applications information describes how to use export and import to back up state table voice applications.
