CPU usage

The CPU usage graph shows what percentage of central processor power, or CPU, is in use (non-idle). Blueworx Voice Response monitors the use of CPU by all of the software on the Power System, not just the Blueworx Voice Response software.

This graph shows the overall trend of CPU usage over the period covered by the graph. In addition, the number to the right of the graph shows the percentage of CPU currently in use. This number is refreshed every five seconds. For example, Figure 1 shows that 23 percent of the available CPU is in use.

Note: On a lightly loaded system, the graph shows a small peak every minute. This is caused by periodic system activity and is quite normal (see Figure 1). In addition, you may see a periodic variation in the CPU readings every few minutes. This is quite normal, and nothing to be concerned about. If you are using other performance monitoring tools, they will show the same variation.

The CPU indicator light to the right of the graph stays green until CPU usage begins to exceed the level specified by the CPU Warning Threshold system parameter. The indicator light turns yellow to warn of an impending problem.
