Starting Communications Server and the link stations manually

Starting Communications Server for AIX establishes the network defined by the information in the SNA configuration. Starting the link stations activates the physical link defined by each link station.

You may have to stop a link station or SNA before you change SNA configuration. If you do, or if AIX stops, you can start Communications Server for AIX and the link stations manually. You can also edit the resource (.rc) file for Communications Server for AIX so that both Communications Server for AIX and the link stations start automatically every time you restart AIX; see Starting Communications Server and the link stations automatically.
