About creating prompt directories

Before you can save a prompt, the prompt directory to which it belongs must exist. A prompt directory is referred to by a prompt directory name. You must specify a default compression type for playing the voice segments included in the directory.

Overriding the default compression type

You can override the default compression type by setting the System : PlayPrompt voice compression type system variable (SV182) before the PlayPrompt action. A value of 0 specifies that the clear channel version of the segments is to be played; a value of 2 specifies that the compressed version is to be played; and a value of -1 indicates that the default compression type is to be used.

A prompt can play audio names and greetings.
