Remote DTMF grammars

For SIP calls, it is now also possible to configure Blueworx Voice Response for AIX so that DTMF detection and DTMF grammar compilation are performed remotely by a speech server rather than by Blueworx Voice Response for AIX.

To do this, edit the configuration file dtj.ini and change the value of the parameter wvr.dtmf.useexternaldetection to true.

Remote handling of DTMF and DTMF grammar compilation can be triggered dynamically when a VoiceXML document being processed has the VoiceXML property com.ibm.dtmf.useexternaldetection set to true, for example:
<property name="com.ibm.dtmf.useexternaldetection" value="true"/>
It can also be disabled dynamically when a VoiceXML document being processed has the VoiceXML property com.ibm.dtmf.useexternaldetection set to false, for example:
<property name="com.ibm.dtmf.useexternaldetection" value="false"/>

If configured to use remote DTMF grammars by any of the above methods, Blueworx Voice Response for AIX supports DTMF hotword. See Barge-in detection methods .
