Channel negotiation is the procedure whereby if the channel requested for a call is busy, another equivalent channel may be chosen. In Blueworx Voice Response channel negotiation is implemented by the signaling process. Channel negotiation applies only to common channel signaling processes, because exchange data link signaling processes are not used for call control.
