About this information

This information describes an open interface that enables you to write signaling processes to implement signaling protocols not directly supported by the Blueworx Voice Response for AIX® voice processing system.

The signaling interface is used by Blueworx Voice Response itself to support simple exchange data link protocols that deliver ANI and DNIS information. The signaling interface is also used by Blueworx Voice Response to support primary rate ISDN, available as a series of optional features.

The signaling interface is not suitable for implementing additional channel associated signaling (CAS) protocols.

This information describes how to write a signaling process, and defines the data types, data structures, subroutines, and primitives provided by the signaling interface.
