If the lsdev -C | grep rpq command lists any adapters as
Defined, or it does not list an installed adapter, this adapter is not recognized
by your system. In this situation, do the following:
- Turn off the computer.
- Remove the unrecognized adapter.
- Check for any obvious change. Check that the base and daughter cards are
firmly plugged together.
- Reinstall the adapter into the same card slot that it was removed from
(for more information see Blueworx Voice Response for AIX: Installation).
- Turn on the computer.
- Login as the root (or obtain superuser privileges) if you have not already
done so.
- View the installed adapters (using lsdev -C | grep rpq).
- If it is still not recognized as Available, replace the adapter.
- Repeat Steps 1 through 5 of this procedure for any other adapters your system does not
recognize.
