17006

E1 frame alignment loss qualified alarm

Blueworx Voice Response has received the frame alignment signal (FAS) in error three times consecutively, and has sent the Remote Alarm Indication (RAI) signal to the far end. This condition can be caused by loss of E1 digital signal, receiving 2MB AIS, or some other fault condition such as defective transmission path or hardware failure. Error 17004 (E1 signal loss qualified alarm) is reported instead of 17006 if frame alignment loss (FAL) is caused by signal loss; error 17005 (E1 2MB alarms indicator signal qualified alarm) is reported if FAL is caused by receiving a 2MB AIS. If the terminating equipment (PABX, channel bank, and so on) shows RAI, the transmission path from Blueworx Voice Response to the terminating equipment, the transmit side of Blueworx Voice Response, and the receive side of the terminating equipment are probably functioning correctly.

Check the telecommunication cables and connections to the network. Check that all cable connectors are firmly seated. Run the diagnostics described in the Problem Determination information. If the cable and Blueworx Voice Response are OK, the problem is with the terminating equipment or the transmission path beyond the Blueworx Voice Response telecommunication line cable. Run appropriate diagnostics on the terminating equipment. If the problem persists, call Blueworx Support with the details and results of all the tests you have tried.
