Starting a custom server automatically

Use this procedure to identify any custom servers that should be started automatically whenever Blueworx Voice Response starts. If you are using a single system image, all custom servers are started automatically unless you add them to an override list using the DTcs command. To start a custom server manually, use the procedure in Starting a custom server.

Whether a server is started automatically is determined by the server's IPL status. Starting or stopping a server manually does not affect the IPL status. When you restart Blueworx Voice Response, the server starts or not, as you have defined.

  1. At the Welcome window, select Operations —> Custom Server Manager
  2. Defining IPL status : Find the server. Make sure the IPL Status is INSTALLED.
  3. Click INSTALLED.
  4. Click Auto-Start On.

The IPL Status changes to AUTOEXEC.

  5. Automatically restarting more servers : To identify additional servers for Blueworx Voice Response to start automatically, repeat Steps 2 through 4.

Blueworx Voice Response automatically starts all the servers for which you redefined the IPL status to AUTOEXEC, the next time you start Blueworx Voice Response.
