Modifying answering application state tables

To modify the state tables for existing applications so that they can answer calls:

  1. If it is not already running, start Blueworx Voice Response for AIX .
  2. From the Welcome window, click Applications —> State Tables to display the State Tables window.
  3. From the list of state table applications displayed, select the state table for the application that you want to modify and open it for editing.
Note: Do not modify the JavaApplication state table as this is used to route all calls to the Java and VoiceXML environment, which includes CCXML.
  4. Select Options —> Show Action Palette.
  5. Select the AnswerCall icon in the PhoneLine folder of the Action Palette and drag it to the work area. The AnswerCall action establishes a connection between the caller and Blueworx Voice Response for an incoming call.
  6. Double-click on the AnswerCall action in the state table to display the Action AnswerCall window.
  7. Type a label name for the action in the State Label field.
  8. Type a meaningful description for the action in the Description field.
  9. Type a label name in the Not Ringing field so that your application can deal with the situation where a connection cannot be established.
  10. Click File —> Validate and Save to update the state table.
  11. Click File —> Close to close the editor window.
