About the language environment

The AIX installation process defines certain characteristics of the environment in which Blueworx Voice Response operates. These characteristics include a language environment.

The language environment determines what date–time conventions Blueworx Voice Response uses by default. The language environment also determines the code set used by default throughout the system. A code set is a set of all the letters, numbers, and special characters which can be used in the system. Blueworx Voice Response is designed to operate with the ISO 8859-1 (ISO Latin 1) code set.

If your system code set is not ISO 8859-1, you may see unexpected characters, particularly if you are using a national language keyboard.
