Additional considerations

You should decide whether extra channels are to be made available for internal use. Voice application developers use a channel to test applications. When a developer is using a channel, that channel is not available to service calls.

Also consider whether Blueworx Voice Response will be making outbound calls. If so, you might want to reserve a number of channels for outbound calling only. Those channels are also not available to receive calls.

If you are currently using an ACD, the design of the system can determine how many channels you need.

Note: If you intend to use background music during voice applications, you must include the number of background music channels (up to eight channels can be used for background music on each trunk).
